The short Inca trail of 2 days, is a journey through the last kilometers of the classic Inca trail of 4 days, it begins inside the forest jungle, we visit the archaeological site of wiñaywayna (forever young) 2650m.snm with an impressive arrival at the Puerta del Sol or INTI PUNKU from where you have a wonderful view of Machupicchu, during the route you can see an abundant fauna and flora that accompany the entire route. Finally, you have the opportunity to visit Machupicchu twice since the second day will be dedicated to exploring the entire citadel.

 

Itinerary:

Day 1.- The pick up from the hotel will be at 5:30 am taking the tourist bus we go to the Ollantaytambo station where we will take the train that will take us to km 104 or CHACHABAMBA starting point of our walk arriving at this point at 8.55 am approx. After making the respective entry control to the Inca road network we begin the walk visiting the first archaeological site of CHACHABAMBA (2100m.snm) we will ascend to WIÑAYWAYNA (2650m.snm) for a time of 3 hours, already in the place we will visit the site archaeological site of the same name and we will have lunch time, we will continue along a flat path to the Puerta del Sol or INTI PUNKU from there we have a pleasant view of Machupicchu, we begin to descend watching the sunset in the citadel. We continue our adventure to the hotel in Aguas Calientes, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2.- The ascent to the citadel of Machupicchu will be very early, we will try to take the first bus at 5:30 am to arrive at the citadel and be able to enjoy the first rays of sun in important places of Machupicchu. The guided tour lasts 3 hours then they will have free time to enjoy photography in this wonder. The return train to Cusco will be scheduled for the afternoon with the arrival at the Cusco hotel at 8:30 pm approx.
